Graphics are amazing but the drawn out extra story content along with a linear play through was terrible. My deal breaker was the battle system. With the exception of the YS series, stagger battle styles are the absolute freaking worst. All they do is unnecessarily draw out battle run time without adding any uniqueness (think ff13) and the AI is so broken it was basically unplayable, you have the ability to switch into any character in battle and use there skills and magic however the other characters in your party will only use basic attack and defend no abilities or magic whatsoever so most of the time I’m switching around to whomever has an ATB bar to heal someone else then back to cloud to spam attack it was the absolute worst route to take. All I needed was for them to have some sort of intelligence and assist instead of stand there waiting for me to waste time switching back and forth. The game didn’t give me any of the emotional attachment or love the original did. I’ve played and beaten the original probably over a dozen times and in my opinion is one of the best games ever made but no amount of nostalgia could get me through this remake. I tried to push through and made it over 13hours in before finally giving up and tossed it, don’t bother wasting your time and feeling disappointed like me. Last comment you couldn’t get the same voice actors as in Advent children? Come on be honest Mena Suvari and Christy Carlson Romano aren’t doing anything and always a huge fan of Crispan Freeman
