100% my all-time favourite book — Zusak is a genius. The language is so well-crafted and unique, and the story is beautiful and bittersweet. I’m currently reading it for the 5th time, and it still never fails to amaze me. Set during WWII, The Book Thief is a must-read for any historical fiction enthusiast. Do yourself a huge favour and read this masterpiece :)
