Just came back from the First Thursday screening of Brahmastra in the US and I am damn impressed by the movie.
- Performances - Everyone has given their best and shine on the screen. Ranbir, Alia, Big B, Nagarjuna and all the surprise appearances are fantastic. I was pleasantly surprised by Mouni Roy's performance. She did justice to the character. 9/10
- Story - Its a well written story laying out the foundation for the Astraverse.....or was it already laid down in another movie many years ago :). There are several hidden easter eggs which I am pretty sure fans will dissect for some time. The dialogues are average, funny in some scenes but nothing very memorable. 8/10
- FX - This is the real hero of the movie. Definitely the best FX ever in a Bollywood movie but this is right up there with the best international productions. 10/10
- Background Score - Very powerful especially in the finale. 9/10
- Songs - They come out very well on the screen and there is a surprise for all in Kesariya. 8/10
- Overall - It is a highly entertaining movie with spectacular FX, powerful music, great story and awesome performances. They reveal the title of the next part and shows glimpses of the journey ahead. It should be definitely watched in a theater and that too IMAX if possible. 9/10.
