Honesty it really exceeded expectations. With so many horror movie remakes failing expectations it was reassuring that child’s play did not. The movie was a major upgrade from the classic slasher flick and actually mixed the more current physiological horror movies with an 80s slasher flick. I can assure your skin will crawl after many scenes. It also made the audience feel somewhat sympathetic towards the doll simply because it doesn’t know what he did wrong and he’s just using what he learned that makes Andy happy
