Good film… Hampered by a totally inappropriate, loud and ridiculous film score of upbeat bossa nova music!!!… How could Sydney Lumet have chosen this music for a thriller?… Why??? Harriet Anderson’s dubbed voice and acting is false from the start. James Mason are Maximillian Schell very good. Simone Signoret is amazing…

Kept waiting for something to happen, but nothing happened… I don’t even know what the film was about… All the characters seem to be caricatures and nobody is worth caring about.. frankly it’s boring… I just don’t understand the good reviews it did receive… I thought “Get Out” was good… But this film definitely gets a “NOPE” from me…

. I was really disappointed with “Pain and Glory”. I had heard so many good things about it. I am a long time fan of Pedro Almodóvar. I wasn’t excited by every film he has made but I believe that films like “Volver“ and “Talk to Her/Habla con Ella” are truly masterpieces… I found this film surprisingly inert with no real plot. It seemed contrived and I found myself unable to identify with or feel compassion for the characters. Frankly bored throughout much of the film. Oh well… I hope Almodóvar continues to be a filmmaker of great talent. .
