I loved this, and people saying it’s not realistic or that a responder wouldn’t be able to work etc is totally unfounded.
Written by Tony Schumacher, an ex serving responder, who had a break down while still serving in the police force.
I think it’s written with such passion & heartache, it’s believable.
I have family who work in similar social & public jobs, the things they deal with on a daily basis would send anyone over the edge. It’s just as well we aren’t all the same!
Martin Freeman portrays the character so well, the storyline is gripping & shows the side of life no one wants to believe exists.
It doesn’t matter where it’s set, just so happens to be Liverpool, it could be any city in the UK.
I hope we see more work from Tony.
