We had to watch it twice to get the full effect of the plot line and action. We enjoyed the movie immensely. Nolan is brilliant at story and execution of script. His casting and ability to pull together such an amazing team of technical wizards enables him to create scenes that go against reality — but may it look real. He’s intelligent and challenges his audience. A great portion of the audience may not have been able to follow the plot if seeing the film only once. It’s a tough plot to grasp, but when you fall into the idea of inverse parallel action from past to future — it’s a fun ride!

Gritty, very realistic catastrophe setting. Hard to watch at times… will the world go out with a flood or another world war? This film rolls it into one. Study of human nature and the will to survive in wet chaos. And then beyond all hope, finding love is stronger than any tempest.

Realistic entry into the mid 70’s suburban angst. Painful sexual minefield of changing mores. Bewildering decor and color scheme best left in the past. Haunting perfection.
