Wonderful costuming and set design, great actors, the only thing letting this show down is it's terrible script. Ideas are introduced too fast and quickly resolved, making the show feel rushed and unbelievable.
No character is likeable or believable. CGI is uh... interesting? It feels like the earlier episodes of The X files (without the charm)
Swearing seems to be randomly placed in their sentences for no apparent reason just to remind the audience this is an "adult" show. Same with the weird faerie sex. Weird faerie sex is weird. Perhaps make those sort of scenes for a purpose? You can imply it without showing it, and if you are, make it more purposeful. If you want to watch this show beware of weird (seemingly random) strange Faerie intercourse scenes. We get it, you're an adult show, you don't need to force it down our throats.
Clear goodies and baddies (characters are just made to be arrogant and hate-able but are so one dimensional you end up think "Really?" Its a shame the script and CGI was so bad, this could have been really great.
I think if the writers pace out their ideas a bit more (set longer time for fewer ideas) and maybe make their dialogue a bit more human and less forced, it could be really great. The main plot is very interesting (The political divide between humans and faeries) however the random Dwight/Sherlock's random mystery side stories are unnecessary.
I recommend you give it a go though, as most of these reviews are positive so people must be seeing things I am not. You could really enjoy it. I must say, it definitely picked up the pace in the last four episodes. Because this show has gained quite a bit of popularity, I'm sure season two will be far better.
