I love A24 and i had high hopes for this one but it fell flat. I’m surprised the reviews have been so high, some people have said it was a homage to classic slashers but i thought it was predictable and not really gory enough to be considered a slasher. The slow burn was anti climatic. Some may argue that it was an avant-garde representation of ageism, sexuality and religion but again it was just underwhelming… its been done before… by A24. overall it wasn't bad but i was bored.
