Thank you for a movie like those of days gone by. Touching, inspirational, and most of all...a good story from start to finish that depends on the solid acting if its cast and underplayed direction. The tapestry of the era was perfection and yes we always knew Eddie Murphy needed this sort of role. I kept thinking of Mr. Rogers and Murphy's portrayal on Saturday Night Live. He was respectful of this wonderful man and Murphy definitely was respectful of Me. Church. The music plays on and so will my appreciation of good film.
