Mr. Church was a gift that, once opened, revealed other gifts within it. Eddie Murphy's performance was stunning in its piercing quietude. The movie as a whole had a wholesome quality without being prudish or preachy. In the end, it was a story of family and love. I enjoyed every moment, from start to finish.
