Kansas Crick (The Red Reverend)

This movie walked the razor’s edge between good and bad the whole way. I think they took a good concept with great actresses and added a lot of unnecessary vulgarity (verbal and physical). To be “edgy,” perhaps? McCarthy and Bell brought in so much potential, but the kind of negativity in this comedy sort of betrays their familiar style. Last and least: until now I had never seen someone else wear turtlenecks in a way that made ‘me’ feel claustrophobic. So there’s that I guess 😂 I heart McCarthy and especially Bell, so I really wanted this movie to work. It just did not work for me.
