PERFECT FOR ANIME FANS
X-Men ‘97 is not an Anime, nor does it claim to be, however, it is chocked full of the weak plots and terrible voice acting that Anime fans seem to love, the original X-Men animated series that ‘97 was based on was also a complete mess but it got a pass because it was stuck in its time and as camp as every cartoon in the 90s, X-Men ‘97, on the other hand, gets no such “pass” because it is made in the decade where superhero animations such as “Invincible” and all the DC and Mortal Kombat animations are around, it’s understandable that X-Men ‘97 isn’t catered to the same audiences as those audiences, however, who is watching X-Men ‘97? Kids? I don’t think so, it’s mindless nostalgia bait that serves nothing to younger audiences who didn’t grow up with the original, because it's not child accessible, there's not much action and a lot of drama, which is fine with me but not to kids. All in all, people are going to like X-Men ‘97 because TV and Film is about Aesthetics not quality writing, this is why we know directors but not writers, but hey, the X-Men are cool.
