Just watched series 1 & nothing made any sense. 1. Whats the reason for the animosity between Jenna and her father? It wasn’t addressed at all. 2. Whats the point of Jenna having a dead mother & it being a suicide, what was that meant to bring to the story? They didnt elaborate at all… 3. Why was the male teacher a bit stand offish, that friendship/relationship hinted at going somewhere, but it absolutely didn’t. What happened between them prior to the main plotline, some character development wouldn’t of gone amiss, maybe some crucial hints via ‘flashbacks’ 4. Why bring in the ex for 5 mins of screentime? Absolutely bizarre. 5. Why was the female teacher so jealous and bitter towards Jenna, why did she send those emails? Such a missed opportunity, i thought she had something to do with the main plotline but it didnt, it was just its own side-quest, relevant but actually not relevant. 6. Why did Kyles mom keep calling ‘Brain’ a creep & nutjob, they introduced this character at the end of episode 3 (in a 4 part series) with no mention or hint of who is was/is and why she hates him so much. Turns out brain is Kyles private tutor, but that still makes zero sense. 7. The cd Jenna was sent of being filmed at home, in her own bedroom, stalked in the most intense way, and she did nothing about it? They didn’t show us anything to build up any of these characters, as to why they feel/act the way they did. It meant each character was hard to like, they all felt so pointless. Some of them didn't bring anything to the table at all. I liked the series 2 plot-line better, it made more sense but i struggled to get past lot of the acting, especially from the teenage cast.
