Very much just a typical tv drama. I actually turned it off before finishing the first episode. Does not do the book justice. Way too much is just glanced over, and the virals are not the least bit scary (in the book, they're described as nightmarish beings; tall, sickly, humanoid beings, with blackened, leathery skin and glowing orange eyes). A very poor representation of a stellar novel.
