Excellent movie. It really captures the sentiment of that time era. It's a very heartbreaking story that was also told to us by my Mother as we were kids growing up. Born in the 60s you learned of these horrific stories. William Defoe and Gene Hackman are amazing. They really made this movie profound. I am glad that the director Alan Parker throughout the script made it known that what was going on was wrong and that hatred needed to change!!!
