Simply amazing. Never liked this kind of games, untill I played The Division. It drew me within the first hour. Can't decide which one of these two is better. Each one has it's own atmosphere, gameplay mechanic, pace... but both of them have phenomenal graphics and overall quality. The first one is a bit dark and gloomy, an excellent post-apocalyptic pandemic settings with NY in the midst of winter hollidays sinking in snow and trash while the second has a bit brighter take in summer with DC growing in foliage and weed. What most amazed me about The Division was attention to details. Every street, alley, building, store, hallway, apartment... was done with such attention to details. It really blew me away. I found myself countless of times simply walking around, siteseeing, simply taking tour.
It can be a bit frustrating at times, struggling with bullet sponge NPCs, but once you get the hang and use to it... It gets tolerable. You can play solo, if you are up to a chalange, of with a friend... Or anyone who is willing to help you out. There is an RPG element where you rank up and in progress get a better gear which you can mod and and adjust to better suit your gameplay style. So, if you are and even if you are not into loot shooters, you should give The Division a chance. There's a twenty hour campaign with as much hours of side missions and tasks, not to mention time you'll spend comparing and adjusting gear stats. It's fun, gritty, addictive with amazing graphics and overall atmosphere.
