Do yourself a favor and read the book first. There was a lot more depth. This adaptation for the series is a struggle to get through. Mia is portrayed completely differently in the series as are the other characters. Thereโs a dynamic between Mia and Elena in the book that really shows the best and worst of both women. In the series, itโs just surface same old , same old tired rich vs poor. Why couldnโt they stick to the books storyline?
