Here's my rundown of my experience with this game.
Poor combat, dodging is horrible. Bad checkpoints that cause items to despawn or change entirely. Weapon swapping takes so long that you're dead before you get your stun stick out. Story is meh. Fighting more than one enemy at a time is just blind luck and straight up determination to beat them on your fourth try after you've determined how many there are and how best to deal with them without losing too much health. Inventory is small. It doubles the inventory at the exact moment you don't need that many slots, and gives so many item sometimes that you must choose between consumables and items to sell. Ammo is the only item that stacks in your inventory. The telekinetic gauntlet you get easily beefcake the most weapon you have and I would recommend upgrading it early on. Spiked walls are insta kills from what I've seen, so make sure you know where the nearest one is.
Honestly didn't find the atmosphere scary, but maybe I'm just jaded idk. Character dialog was okay, can't blame the voice actors for that really. You can see the potential they had if they tested the game more extensively and worked harder on a combat system that was more fluid. I'm not looking for easy just a more cohesive UI with the dodging and melee aspect, or just scrap that and give us good gunplay. I'm sure we'll get a better functioning version of this game in the future, but for now I don't recommend picking it up unless it's on sale or your just soooo bored and curious, you do you.
2/5 for the nice looking graphics though a bit muddy looking at points, and because I feel as though a 1/5 is too harsh for a game that does still function for the most part.
