Ronnie Reep

I saw this movie quite awhile back. 20 years or so ago. So pretty much after it’s release in 2005. It’s intricately plotted and mysterious. I remember watching it back to back. I loved the movie and Adrien Brody is one of my fav actors. What I also loved were the 2 songs that played while the credits were rolling. “We have all the time in the world” and “Quiet Place”. I mention this as it occurred to me when I see a movie in a theatre it ends and I leave. And I generally don’t care to see the credits even streaming but certainly happy I had the pleasure of listening to these beautiful songs while the lengthy credits rolled. They enhanced the theme of the movie for me and gave me pause to reflect on a few things in my life. Probably used too many characters on this.

Ranks right up there with one of the dumbest movies I’ve ever seen. For one thing nobody could obviously shoot straight even with AK bullets whizzing by. Used the star power of Arnold to no avail. I started it so had to finish but 30 min in would’ve been enough.

Ranks right up there with my top ten movies. Watched it several times. The acting by both Penn and Walken was superb. The sound track by Madonna was nice and fitting for this film. I actually just finished watching it on HBOnow. I noticed The great Roger Ebert RIP saw a correlation between it and “In Cold Blood”. Another in my top ten. The original with Robert Blake. Not the remakes.
