I loved this book on every level. Bridget took the reader to a place few know about. Even the tourists who go to Vanuatu on the Tourist Boats have no idea of what life is really like. I loved the way she was determined to make sure the women she was sent to help were able to get their training as Early Childhood teachers, and the enthusiasm of the teachers to face all odds to achieve their goals. In this patriarchal society where women are lower in the scheme of things than pigs they fought a hard battle and won. A personal story that touched my heart.
