Dark, very violent, but very well made film. Very well acted by all the characters especially Joaquin Phoneix. I'm not even a huge fan of his, but man, he nailed the proverbial nail that is the gloomy and sad character of Arthur Fleck a.k.a "The Joker" right on the head. It also answered some questions I had about the relationship between Batman and Joker. It left me with an odd feeling of satisfaction when Arthur finally stands up for himself, so to speak, against the people who treat him like an outcast. But when you look deeper into the film and the character, you realize how sad his life and life experiences really were, as well as the effects it had on him.
