***SMALL SPOILERS BUT, NO PLOT SPOILERS***
Okay im going to start this off by saying the negatives... I enjoyed the whole part where the ship comes back for the predator's body in past movie(s) and not to spoil much it dosn't have that at the end. The other part is the woke issues going into every movie. It kind of dominates the theme because, you have a girl who trianed herself, who is highly intelligent, who is looked down on for being a female in a Commanche tribe full of male hunters expecially her brother who btw is a bad@ss! They could of dialed this down to a smaller portion and not have made it from beginning to end. The last thing is I wish I wasnt watching a bunch of city type natives who don't have even an accent that most tribes carry nowadays. The moment they open their mouths you can just sense the cringe when dialog happens. I was on the Crowe Native American Reservation for 5 months while in the military and you can tell even today they speak in their tongue and it carries over into English. Nope not this movie. It was as if 2 people from Kansas were chatting back and forth. They did a great job when they used some of the native language in the movie but, I also get people want to understand whats being said. I'm jist saying "Dances with Wolves" did a great job at both... not sure if this part was rushed.
That being said heres my pros and im going to list them...
1. Very cute hardcore female lead who does have very good acting.
2. Sibling rivalry but, understanding of each other that plays well till the end.
3. The predator isnt over done as it has been in AVP. It almost takes on a human muscle toned body with a monster head. It just seems more real to believe.
4. Dont want to spoil anything but the part in the burned forest with the ashes falling is amazing.
5. The new ways the Predator kills with older technology is amazingly done right!
6. The ending was fairly good. What was said and done actually took a smart writer to come up with.
7. Kind of negative but hoping for an extended version expecially when he goes off on the "White Man".
8. The real natives in the movie.
9. Movie wasn't saturated with 100 scenes of Native war chanting and fakeness that could of clouded the experience.
And last but, not least...
10. That shield the Predator uses is badass!
