Great graphics, cool game modes, the counter system is absolute trash and ruins the gameplay completely.

I've played and finished every AC game to date and this is hands down the worst one. The combat is terrible. The chase page tattoo stuff is a complete waste of time. The last two entries were incredible, this was a huge step backwards. The graphics are great and the story is fun, but the combat is so incredibly bad that I had to leave a review. Super disappointing. This will probably be the first one I don't finish, even though I've already committed a lot of time to it it just doesn't seem worth finishing. Hopefully the next one doesn't suck as much.

It's a superhero game in which at no point you feel even remotely super. Under powered heroes, over shielded enemies, waste of money. Huge let down still in 2022.

For the most part, the game is great. The entire balm mechanic is garbage and without it I would have given the game 5 stars. It takes all the fun and strategy out of boss battles, just a lot of timed diving. It sucks. I hope they never use it again. Edit:. After playing the final encounter with Arceus I'm dropping it another star. It's not a fight, it's not enjoyable, it's a practice in timed diving and it sucks. Again; Most of the game is great, everything surrounding the balms is complete trash.
