The actors have put a lot of effort in the making. Movie is very realistic. But it will be a great disappointment to the fans who have read the story in the book. The heart and soul of the the famous PONNIYIN SELVAN novel was the story, but the story has been simplified a lot and that kills all main elements. Movie is a bit lag. Climax fight secene was unnecessary. Instead they should have just stuck to the main story. People who haven't read the novel might like the movie. Lacks a bit of Mani Ratnam's touch. But surely it can be a 1 time watch movie for all the effort the team has put
