When I first heard that Beyonce was coming out with a country album, being both a Beyonce and a country music fan, I was quite looking forward to hearing it. But, on listening to the whole album, there is not one song that I would want to listen to more than once. Every song was middle of the road and none of the tracks really stood out or were particularly relatable or had much substance or depth. Most of them were superficial at best. I wouldn't even call this a country album at all. I don't quite get why so many people have given it a 5 star review and are calling it a great album and "important" when it's just not. They must be hearing something else. And 27 tracks on one album is a hell of a lot for any album never mind a country album. Ever heard the expression "less is more"? Style over substance.
