Even if you watched every spoiler video, this show is a lot to track with. In just 3 episodes, I have already become overwhelmed with the amount of primary and secondary characters, locations, back stories, and relationships. While I absolutely appreciate and believe in the inclusive approach to reflect a world where more people can feel included, it all seems forced and overdone without true heart. More like "check the diversity box" with a BIG check. If you are just venturing to Middle Earth, bring a writing tablet, pens and flash cards for this one....Emergency Awesome is my go-to on YouTube for a thorough episode breakdown.

I agree with the 1 stars that there was a lot left on the table with story development. My counter is that this is Season 1. I think there is so much time to drill deeper on the story and develop Yasuke as a rich character. We were given flashbacks and incomplete storylines on purpose. Enjoy the ride without dissecting the intro season.
