The movie concept for Rebel Moon seems good in theory but, in a nutshell, it was poorly executed. The backstory and plot are good and the music is wonderful, but there's not much else. Some of the characters have bad accents that take away from the experience and some of the scenes feel too similar to other, and dare I say, better sci-fi films. The movie was too long and included many scenes that could have been cut in editing. Relationships and twists were delivered well, but there were so many aspects of the movie that were just not believable or practical. I say better luck next time.
Edit: the fighting choreography was great, but the main villain didn't turn out to be very threatening.
