Shiro Yasha

This is an out and out 5. You can always find faults in films and really any piece of media. But when the last film of a trilogy hits as good as this you don’t remember the few faults in the film rather remember all the enjoyable, emotional, action-packed and funny scenes. The songs that linger with nostalgia, the bonds these ragtag characters who no one really knew (majority) are fan favourites. It’s crazy what a film can do. The faults in this film just to name them, some of the jokes were cheesy (still like the marvel films of recent), the music was a bit overused (I can forgive as it is supposedly the last film in the trilogy). (Spoiler) the rocket coming back to life was the major plot point in the film but had very little pay off and moved on quickly. Warlock should’ve been used more, too less screen time. After that rant, all I can say now is that the film had a perfect ending and that is what you will remember the most when you walk out the cinema.

Giving it an average score is more than enough praise for this film. This film after a week you would have forgotten about. The characters are all bland with one liners and no unique quirks. This was meant to be a family bonding film but that didn’t come across well. The character Kang was good and was taken seriously with good threats. However the climax was just way too predictable. Marvel playing it safe with the hero saving the day and the villain banished. This could’ve easily ended more dark with the death of a few main characters. But oh well I guess this is the start of phase 5.

All tension is lost during all the flashbacks. They are sporadic and literally appear when something in her present is slightly linked to her past. Her character has some questionable thinking and out-of-character decisions. Also stupid way to kill off Sam. What was the point of that story arc just a way to start the plot with no one knowing where they are. It felt cheap. Adding a baby in to the mix just because it makes it more deep is not great storytelling. How anybody sits through 6 episodes without skipping through scenes must have the highest tolerance to mediocrity and weren’t awarded the privilege of a good ending.
