I watched the film and . . . er . . . it's still on the fence! I expected better quite honestly from all the posters and trailers. It's quite underwhelming. The night shots are quite realistic (compared to CGI) and brings to the edge of the seat but the end is . . . bad. Bad CGI, bad lines, wrong dialogues, one minute its realistic, the next it's just wacky. The movie looks as if directed by a 10 year old! Disappointing really, cause the story is some-what on par with "Black Water' franchise, expect with sharks! 47 meters was miles better than this one. Points must be given for realistic survival experience, a bit realistic shark behavior (hunting as a pack). It is not totally bad but, its not superb either.

Spoilers ahead! The story line is okay. The movie is entertaining. It is refreshing to see Superman having doubts and being an amateur rather than the stoic god like entity most of us are familiar with. There are key elements covered like Superman making Manhunter's acquaintance. Pa and Ma Kent advising Superman that the weight of the world need not rest on his shoulders. Lois coining Superman. Batman precedes Superman as a vigilante. Lex Luthor's dexterity. There are also downers, Kryptonian tech is not made available to Superman until Manhunter assists. Parasite being an empathetic entity, Lobo not claiming his bounty. Don't get me wrong, it is refreshing to see a clean start after the alternate paradox series but, the plot is kinda all over the place. Feels there are more questions than the right answers. In short (rather long) if you like superhero movie, animated you will love it. If you are a collector, borderline nerd, then you will need some time adjusting!
