Starz has hit a home run with this series and what a surprise, because the previews would have you believe it is nothing but a Skin-A-Max, Kinky Boots, soft porn knock off. It's anything but that. I passed over this show repeatedly because I had this misconception myself & didn't think it would be worth my time to watch it. I also thought it would be geared towards a predominantly male $ les audience. I was wrong on all accounts. It has an excellent script with well developed characters who are brought to life by a talented cast of actors. I ended up f ing off my chores & binge watched the entire 1st season yesterday. 8 hours of blissful suspended disbelief. You'll laugh at the dark humor and cry at the trials & tribulations these characters experience. It feels real, the best thing a series can achieve. You'll also gain some insight into the talent & athleticism necessary to earn your living as a dancer. The 2nd season is slated to air 1st weekend of June & I just can't wait!! Don't be a dummy like me, watch & see for yourselves. If you don't have Starz go and get it. It's just $3.99/mon for 6mon (then $8.99) that's not a bargain, it's a steal.
