I didn't think this game could get any worse than nhl24, but guess what? It did!! EA, scrap this game and start it from the bare bones, and please hire programmers that actually understand the game of hockey, the rules and how penalties are handed out!! What a friggin mess. This game is a joke, and a complete waste of money! PS. If you’re leaving anything above a 1 star rating you must be an EA programmer, or know nothing about the game of hockey!

I would give this release a zero if I could! This is the worst release ever for EA NHL and it’s pretty obvious it was not ready for the general public. This game needs taken down to the bare bones and started over from the ground up, and for heavens sake bring in people who know the game of hockey!! I watch my husband play this every Saturday night as a team effort with our sons and friends and it’s so frustrating! The AI players for the opposing team are ALWAYS phenomenal (multiple hat tricks, amazing takeaways that are impossible, etc) while their AI player is trash and doesn’t even know how to play a position!! AI players should NOT take over a game and be dominant. They set up great hockey plays and are never rewarded for their efforts. Instead the opposing goalie teleports to make miraculous saves while their goalie can’t save a beach ball!! This release is a joke. Doesn’t even save the player jerseys they painstakingly set up!! EA should offer rebates for this trash, or full refunds as it’s totally unplayable as it is. Go back to the drawing board with this one and consult with people who actually know the game of hockey!!
