I recently re-watched this series for nostalgia and to see the tv show, as I never had access to it as a kid. While it is not perfect, it is still a good cartoon and Christian cartoon. I appreciated that the show was more focused on teaching g kids to be good people instead of trying to convert them to Christianity. I did like the lessons they wanted to teach kids, such as sharing kindness to others, treating animals with respect, and showing that a real friend will tell you what you need to hear to better yourself. The found family dynamic between the penguins and the kids is adorable. While I do prefer the voices and characterizations in the home video releases to the tv show ( particularly Jason’s characterization) it is overall a good show that is comforting, funny, and heartfelt. P.S. 321 Penguins! came out years before the Madagascar series, so technically the Penguins of Madagascar could be considered a rip off of them. I don’t consider this the case as both teams are awesome!
