No rating for 0 stars? So idiotic and awful, but mostly embarrassing for the entire cast of previously... fairly good actors! We're talking big names: Diane Keaton, Mary Steenburgen, Jane Fonda, Andy Garcia, Don Johnson, Candace Bergen, Craig Nelson. All well-known actors! How desperate they must all have been to lend their names to,...let alone appear in this sorry excuse for a movie! I'm certain they were each paid a great deal of money....but was it worth the price of an otherwise rather stellar acting career??Truly an example of quitting while you're ahead! The first Book Club, movie was an entertaining film. These folks should have ended the story with the last chapter of part one!! The only reason I even continued watching after the first (almost painful) half hour is because my granddaughter was watching with me, and she wanted to see the whole thing! At the end she, too, said how awful it was! There is something telling (and,sorry I hadn't thought of this before turning it on) about a movie that is released in May, 2023, and is on television only 6 months later, in November 2023!! Read a book, do a laundry, clean out your sock drawer...anything would be time better spent than time wasted watching this movie!
