This movie was too long as far as I am concerned. There is no real connection made with the children and the mother is so unlikeable I found myself thinking why not possess her family and wipe them out? It's probably the most interesting thing that's ever happened to them. I struggled to find even an ounce of care for anyone in the story except the grandmother, but that only happened at her death scene. There's no character development, no real suspense, no horror aspect. As for the parts of the "horror" and possession, all the classic elements are there. Religion, crawling on the walls, child possession, speaking in tongues, holy water, etc. It feels cliche and unremarkable. Inspired by true events? Maybe, but if it is, then it's been highly edited. Sadly, as a horror film in the demon possession genre, this one is not worth your time. It just can't compare to any of the others.

I love shark movies. I can suspend belief for a lot of things (Sharknado, Sharktopus, etc). But if you're trying to sell me the idea a regular mako is terrorizing Paris waterways and everyone in the film has abandoned Even basic thought, then no. I've seen a lot of bizarre plots and enjoyed almost all of them. Not this one. Not only are the people too stupid and self-righteous, but at least make the shark species semi-believable by using a bull shark. You can't have a story claiming to be rooted in reality and then break reality's laws. This was a terrible shark flick, and I'm not even touching the frequent interruptions of political messages.

Man is it slow to start. And it would be nice if they lost the 30-45 mins of seriously slow walking and stares into the void. I felt like the movie kept building promises and then falling flat, but ultimately it delivered and was actually very good. Not as good as the Dark Knight series, but better than the others.

I thought it did the story created by the Dark Knight injustice. The incredible criminal mastermind and Arch nemesis of Batman has been reduced to a middle aged mentally ill person just trying to survive in a day to day world. And the fact that he's in his 40s in Joker and Bruce is 10 would make him in his 70s when he actually goes head to head with Batman later on. SMH.

Suspense wasn't great. It was more about the political agenda and family drama than the shark. Creature features should be just that--light hearted, silly stories about ravenous monsters trying to eat everyone until the good guy saves the day.
