What ever happened to good old fashioned story telling? This movie was made for the TikTok generation where nothing can wait. 2 seconds in he’s slaying demons. Can you just wait a minute already?! The brilliance that was the original 1973 The Exorcist told a story and built a relationship with its characters. It was over an hour in before any outward demonic stuff even happened and even then it came slowly and allowed the fear of our own psychology to be used against the audience. I was so excited to see this movie but what a disappointment.
