A vast tapestry on which is painted a lush and vivid portrait of an alternate reality about which earth knows nothing. Excellent effects work, and some great "moments" throughout.

Have loved this show since 1980. Always amusing, often heart-warming. I think of it as one of the hidden treasurers of British comedy.

One of my all-time favorite shows -- so pleased to find it on DVD! I could wish it had been remastered, but your eye soon "adjusts" to the softer image we all took for granted (ahem!) over forty years ago. Wonderful to see it again after so many years ... am enjoying it immensely. Also bought its follow-on show, Tandara, on DVD -- I loved that almost as much ... just missed the iconic Sam Cash, though the character was excellently replaced. Highly recommended if you love classic Aussie TV, and Australian history.

Loved every moment of this ... bought it on DVD. Every episode has motion picture quality, astonishing cinematography and amazing locations. For me, it's that rare show, with no "weak links" at all .. brilliant!

Just finished the show-and-movie for about the tenth time, and love it as much now as ever. I could have wished for loads more, but there *is* something powerful about a "miniseries" that's complete in a small(er) space. It has a lot more focus than the shows which run for several seasons and, inevitably, start to ramble with plot arcs becoming insanely complex. I just ... adore everything about Firefly and Serenity, wouldn't change a thing. The casting was perfect, the acting superb, and those superlative special effects have held up admirably over the years.
