Where do I start? On the positive, the actors and cinema were terrific. On the negative the movie misses huge swathes & chunks of Elvis’s life as they attempt to tell the story of “the colonel”. That coupled with the racial polarization and the hidden narrative that Elvis both stole and owes his fame to the black singers/influencers in his early days is not a complete picture in my opinion and only serves to further racial divides.
