Melissa Mukuna

I watched this show after it landed on max (i'd heard great things off twitter for months but couldn't commit to a new streaming service) and i ran through it in two days. The dynamic between louis/lestat is rich and tight, the production value is beautiful, and claudia's arc and the overarching writing on race, sexuality, and domestic abuse was heartbreaking and compelling. I haven't read the books but i'm excited to see their world open up in season two. I can't promise a perfect show - in another world background characters like armand and antoinette would have gotten more time, and pacing could always be smoother - but i am a happy new fan and i hope more people check this out!
