At first, a lot of the ideas feel rather generic or self-help-y. However, as the book continues, and Rubin digs deeper into his personal philosophy, the ideas begin to be deeply inspiring, due mostly to his contagious belief in the power of human ingenuity. It's not an instructional manual or a spiritual guide: it's one man's reflection on the wisdom his gleaned through a very, very successful career.

This film is jingoistic right-wing propaganda that is so brash and vindictive as to be almost fascist. It's fun to look at, and the acting is pretty great, but it's so hateful that it makes me angry to live in a country that sees the protagonists of this movie as heroic.
