I wouldn't rate this movie so harshly if the other two didn't blow my mind. The first two movies make this my favorite series of all time by far, which is why after seeing the trailers for this movie I was pretty scared. I figured it would be okay no matter what but I couldn't see how they could top the others, and I was right. The movie was definitely okay, but I think if the others weren't so loved, nobody would pay attention to a movie like this. To me it wasn't memorable at all and it seemed very rushed. I had to laugh at a few of the very questionable plot choices, because they just seemed so cheap, like the characters losing their dragons and having to figure out how to free them and beat the villain. Really? That was just one of the many things that almost exactly copied the second movie. Other things just made me very disappointed, such as how underwhelming the goodbye scene was. I know the people behind these movies could have done way better than that, and that's why I was so disappointed by this movie. It seemed great the first time I watched it, but got considerably worse every time after that, which is the opposite case for the first two movies, where I fall in love with them again every time I watch. Overall it seemed very rushed and it made me sad to see my favorite series end in such a lame way.
