Umesh has made a wonderful, watchable movie which is also more pro-woman than most Hindi movies. Excellent scripting and tight direction has cleared the film of all unnecessary baggage. It is clean, precise and knows what it is doing.
The film is about the thirteen days of customs in the life of a young widow immediately after her husband's death in which she also finds that her silent husband had a lover. Through the lover, she discovers a new side to her husband that she never experienced herself. This experience sets her free.
Sanya Malhotra as the young widow and Sayani Gupta ( my favorite) as the lover essay their roles to perfection.
An excellent film to watch with all the qualities that I seek in a film - music and camera just adequate, script chiseled down finely and direction that is mature and not too loud. Kudos to Umesh for this wonderful film!
