There is excellent character development and great story lines. The story lines follow what is going on in the country at this time in a subtle way that doesn't smack you upside the head. Short of the over the top shooting scenes, which are to be expected, the procedures and conflicts are true to life. It is one of the only shows that I can watch over and over and still enjoy. It just has a great mix of drama, happiness, sadness, humor, and every other real life emotion. Bravo to the writers and the actors.
