Cinema is glamorous and tempting. Cinema can show you the most horrible and worst things in such a way that you not only don't hate seeing it, but you fall in love and sympathize with it. An example is the whale movie. I'm not going to spoil the movie, but just imagine if Charlie's story and what he did to his family were covered in a documentary, how different the feedback of the documentary audience would be from the feedback of the "whale" audience. In real life, many people definitely don't want even to get close to people like Charlie, but cinema makes you feel like you are related to Charlie.
