very nice prose and ocean talk, but very tedious for the first 100 pages. afterwards it's difficult to put down, but the lack of likable characters (though i do like miri's selfishness in grief + the shadow of her mother's death), strange decision making and how boring most of it is means i can't really recommend it in good faith. don't take suggestions from tiktok, however starved you are for sapphic horror!
