We have been fans of the Brokenwood series since season 1. The characters are quirky and fun with the wonderful backdrop of New Zealand. Season 1 takes a few episodes to develop the interplay between the team members but is well worth the time. Over the years, some of the characters change with the exception of the 2 main people (Shepard and Simms). While it is always sad to see some of your favorite supporting actors leave, the new additions are actually important to the longevity. Each episode is a different murder mystery. Almost all are fun and entertaining

Wasn't enthralled with the cast or the plot. There was some nice character development. I always enjoy the scenery in Ireland. Was entertaining enough to finish; however, I wouldn’t recommend watching it. Would strongly recommend other Irish series like Singlehanded (excellent!) and Dublin Murders and Bloodlands. The last two are a bit dark but worth watching

Terrible and NOT believable on any level

Very much action packed with great special effects. As in all MI movies, the level of suspense is very good. Plot is excellent with lots of twists and surprises. Acting was superb. Only gave 4 stars because at times the chase scenes became a bit long and very much unbelievable. In all of these type of movies (MI, James Bond, etc), the action scenes are beyond any chance of reality, but most of them keep you so entertained that your mind accepts the improbability. Sometimes in this thriller, they went on a bit longer than needed. My biggest concern was how they could make it a two part movie and keep viewers satisfied. They did it excellently. Still loved it and would recommend highly.
