I got through the 1st episode and I had to turn it off. My god it was boring! I kept asking myself, if they didn't slap the 007 logo on this would I watch it and the answer was a resounding no. The people were not that interesting, the challenges were not that challenging and the questions had NOTHING to with James Bond. All the while dangling a vulgar pile of money in front of them. Plus the concept was so lazy, with only barest of fan service in guise of a few props and some Bond music. It's like someone making merch with no knowledge of the source material. Like a cheep Chinese knockoff T Shirt that says Gold Fingers, Dr Know, For Love with Russia or Moonfaker. Kailei and I kept thinking up so many better ideas than the hackneyed production this show created. They could have put the contestants through actual CIA/MI6 spy games, have actual Bond trivia questions that relate to the locations they're in, put them in scenarios directly from the films. They had great production value, great photography all waisted on a pointless and crass money grab. Which is ironic since this show was a pointless and crass money grab. Honestly as a Bond fan I found it a bit insulting to Bond fans and kept asking why am watching this drivel? Sorry if anyone out there enjoyed it, it is just my opinion and I unfortunately did not.
Why couldn't they have Bond trivia questions. why couldn't the questions be related to the Bond locations they were in? Why couldn't they have been put through actual CIA/MI6 training games and courses? Why couldn't they have mysteries to solve instead of pointless questions. Why couldn't the stunts/challenges be connected to create a whole plot like solving a Bond villains plot? So much they could have done would have been far more interesting than what was there. Some pretty scenery and great camera work.
