How sad, i wanted to love this movie so much! I waited for the twist, and waited and waited and it never came. Josh did a decent job, the daughter was great, and shamalan got a plug casting his family member as the singer who did a fair job but her overdone eyelashes and lips were too much for my taste 😆 it seems he made this whole movie so his own daughter can get a jump start on her singing career... it ate up like 50% of the movie. I feel like i went to a concert with songs i don't know and the rest was an excuse to drag people to it in movie form. Acting is not for her. Happy to see halsey mills still acting, but everyone else was less than memorable. Maybe the security guard i suppose. That's about all i got. Disappointed. Even if there is a sequel, which it does set up for... i dont think id go for it. Bummer. I had high hopes! Lots of potential, minimal delivery. I gave 2 stats instead of 1 because it wasn't as miserably shot like Old was with all the pointless panning of the cameras. This one was smoother, but the story was so so so weak. The daughter or the guy in the basement or hell even the wife would have been decent twists... no dice. Sad.
