Jennifer Aniston is awesome in The Morning Show. She hits all the high notes that I didn't know she could do when I watched Friends. I'm glad I'm paying for my Apple TV+ subscription. Also, kudos to Billy Crudup's character and he is an amazing actor. Saw him in Arcadia on Broadway. The Morning Show is highly recommended.

The Politician is smart and thought provoking with a slow buildup. I thought that the Politician started out as a kiddie play on federal level politics with a dash of Glee thrown in. The whole “Infinity” storyline was necessary but took too much time to develop. Still I stuck with episodes 1 - 5 because of Gwyneth Paltrow who is amazing in her role as Payton’s Mom. Then Ryan Murphy and Brad Falchuk took off with episodes 6 - 8 and had me glued to the screen. Loved Ben Platt singing “Vienna” and that episode introduced the awesome Judith Light and Bette Midler. Suddenly all the childish, lightweight high school politics in sunny Santa Barbara shifts to take-no-prisoners NYC (where in real life, daily federal indictments anyone?). In the last scene, I see a young unproven candidate taking on a seasoned, dirty NY State Senator protected and backed by the DNC. Absolutely can’t wait for season 2.

The Patriot is an excellent TV show with amazing character development. I watched S1 and stuck around patiently waiting for S2. The new season is literally and metaphorically filmed dark and grey in Paris and is unlike the whimsical and lighter S1. John Tavner starts out seeming like James Bond, a killer. But he's falling apart in the quietest of ways (singing folk songs) as he tries to always please his dad, a head of covert operations. John is a blunt instrument who can kill and inflict violence unhesitatingly. Turns out, his dad gives the orders but confesses he's never been "in the field"; and is nauseated and faints when his son hits a man in the head 17x. John will do whatever it takes for his dad, as he spirals out of control. Michael Dorman is brilliant in his role!
