I’ve been a science fiction fan for around 40 years. The character driven drama is some of the finest I’ve ever read. Always a joy to read. Until I got “Hold Back This Day”. This is the only book, THE ONLY BOOK, I can honestly say I regret reading. The paper used in publishing should have been redirected to the toilet paper line.
Shallow. Pointless. Cliché. George Orwell at age 8 after he’s sucked back an ounce of cannabis could have written better.
I’m deeply disappointed and honestly shocked that I could not find a single element for this book to redeem itself with.
Zero out of ten. I suppose everyone’s entitled to a flop in their career. Maybe this was Ward’s flop? I’m sorry folks, I cannot find anything positive to say about this.
